In the early morning hours of August 22, law enforcement authorities in West Point, Mississippi arrested two local men on drug-related charges. The arrests were the result of a joint effort between local deputies and agents with the Mississippi Department of Corrections during a home visit in Clay County.
According to Clay County Sheriff Eddie Scott, during the home visit, officials discovered methamphetamine and a weapon. Subsequent to the discovery, Thomas Rodgers and Troy Anderson, the two men residing at the home, were arrested.
Rodgers was charged with possession of methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of a weapon by a convicted felon. Anderson, on the other hand, was charged with possession of methamphetamine.
