The incident that transpired led to the arrest of four teenagers, two being from Louisville, one from Starkville, and an unidentified 16-year-old male juvenile.
In the early hours of Sunday, June 23, local law enforcement responded to a distress call from The Pines Manufactured Home and RV Community located in the 1000 block of Louisville Street. Eyewitness reports described a group of teenagers engaging in suspicious activities, including breaking into parked vehicles in the vicinity. Swiftly reacting to the tip-off, the officers promptly set up a perimeter and apprehended all four culprits.
The arrested teens are facing charges, that variate. Shy Pittman, 18, hailing from Starkville, stands accused of possession of a stolen firearm, committing eight auto burglaries, possessing controlled substances, and disorderly conduct. Montrikius Idom is due to face charges of possessing a stolen firearm and committing eight auto burglaries. The 19-year-old from Louisville, Jermarium Yates, is looking at charges of committing eight auto burglaries. Lastly, the unidentified juvenile male is also charged with committing eight auto burglaries in addition to a curfew violation.
The investigation unveiled that the firearms found in Pittman and Idom’s possession were reportedly stolen from Louisville, marking an unnerving discovery for the concerned authorities.
