Starkville Police Apprehend Individual in Aggravated Assault Case
The tranquility of Starkville was disrupted on Monday night after police officers arrested a middle-aged man implicated in a domestic violence case and charged him with aggravated assault.
Alleged Assault Incident
According to a statement issued by the local police department, Donnell Jordan, 49, reportedly strangled a woman at an apartment complex located on Louisville Street. The victim, who was identified as being in a romantic relationship with the accused, received treatment at the site of the assault and was discharged thereafter.
Arrest and Detention of the Suspect
After a prompt response to the crime scene, law enforcement officers managed to take Jordan into custody. He was then transported to Oktibbeha County Jail where he is currently awaiting further legal action.
