Starkville Habitat for Humanity Gears Up for Monthly Warehouse Sale
The Starkville Habitat for Humanity is set for its monthly warehouse sale at 1632 Rock Hill Road this Saturday, hosting a variety of overflow home furnishings for locals looking to shop with a cause. The event is known for brimming the warehouse to capacity with diverse items for sale and will run from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.
Overflow Items for Good Cause
The sale features various home furnishing items that couldn’t find a place at the ReStore because of space constraints. Common items include sinks, doors, lawn equipment, and sometimes even washers and dryers.
Proceeds from the sale enable Habitat for Humanity in carrying out their initiatives aimed at rebuilding lives by supporting community projects and building homes. The funds help continue all Habitat work, including building homes.
Donations Welcome
The warehouse gladly accepts items in good condition for the sale, providing the community an opportunity to declutter while contributing to a humanitarian cause.
Directions to the Warehouse
For new attendees, the warehouse is housed in a large blue building at the end of North Montgomery, beyond the bridge above the highway. The space is usually filled to capacity with items for sale.
Benefitting Community Initiatives
The monthly warehouse sales are crucial in raising funds for executing Habitat for Humanity’s work, which includes a range of community initiatives along with constructing homes for individuals and families in need. The Starkville chapter operates with a vision to ensure everyone has decent, affordable housing.
The warehouse sale offers a win-win opportunity for local Starkville residents to shop for functional items while supporting a noble cause. It also promotes the reuse of goods, thus aligning with responsible consumption.
