The Gamecocks found themselves in a bit of a pickle early on. The Bulldogs surged to an impressive lead, reaching as high as 11 points during the second quarter, catching many fans by surprise. However, a twist of fate came with a setback for South Carolina when key player Ashlyn Watkins had to leave the game due to a left leg injury, leaving a cloud of worry hanging over the team.

A Strong Comeback
