In an exciting development in the Starkville art scene, Juliette Reid has been appointed as the interim executive director of the Starkville Area Arts Council (SAAC). This fresh announcement follows the departure of the former executive director, Mary Switzer.

Reid, who joined the council as an intern in 2019, expressed excitement over her new role. The Starkville Area Arts Council is also in the process of completing renovations at their new space, which they share with Proof, a local creative hub. The refurbished space will feature the first-ever AiPP exhibit. The opening of this new, innovative exhibit is set for September 23, with an opening reception following on September 28.
