Exciting news for fans of performing arts as Mississippi State University announces the act lineup for the upcoming 77th season of the MSU Lyceum Series. This popular series, known for its riveting performances that stretch across a variety of genres, is ready to entertain audiences with an array of engaging acts. The event year starts with a captivating performance from The Troubadour Project, a renowned ’70s rock revival group.
Gearing up to perform on September 10 in Lee Hall’s historic Bettersworth Auditorium, The Troubadour Project hails from Atlanta, Georgia. Known to infuse the music of greats such as Fleetwood Mac, Queen, Led Zepplin, The Eagles, the band vividly depicts the iconic ’70s rock genre.
In another enthralling act scheduled for September 27, is the much-loved theatre adaptation of E.B. White’s tale of Charlotte’s Web, to be hosted at McComas Hall Theatre’s main stage. This fine work will be brought to life by Theatre MSU.
Established in New York City, in 2006, the Collage Dance Collective fusion of classical and contemporary ballet performances is sure to bring the house down on November 21. Recently dubbed a “Southern Cultural Treasure” by SouthArts and the Ford Foundation, the ballet company will perform in Bettersworth Auditorium.
Bringing an intriguing twist to conventional music, Take3, with a combination of the classical, rock, and pop genres, will change the pace on February 13, 2025. Trained at leading conservatories, this musical trio is well-equipped to provide a genre-defying musical performance, presenting acts from Bach to Justin Bieber.
Gather to experience Hamlet in its most raw form by the Actors from the London Stage on March 4, 2025. Celebrating its 50th anniversary with this timeless Shakespearean play, AFTLS is one of the oldest touring Shakespeare companies. The performance takes place in Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium.
On the list for March 26, 2025, is a high-energy circus show brought to the audiences by The Great Dubois. Known for their spellbinding juggling, hula hoops, unicycle, aerial, and circus stunts, accompanied by comedy. Seen on “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,” “Britney Spears World Circus Tour”, etc.
Ticket sales for the MSU Lyceum Series are available since August 13. In addition to individual tickets and full-season options, the Lyceum Series offers a mini-series ticket package. For many events, children’s tickets are also made available.
