Ludacris to Perform at Bulldog Bash in Starkville, MS

The city of Starkville, Mississippi is pulsating with excitement as multi-platinum hip-hop artist and actor Ludacris is set to take the stage at Mississippi State University’s annual community event, Bulldog Bash.

Bulldog Bash Details

Renowned as the largest free outdoor concert in Mississippi, the Bulldog Bash will take place on October 4 from 7 p.m. at the intersection of Jackson and Main streets in downtown Starkville. The high-energy event won’t just be about Ludacris’ performance at 9:15 p.m.; it will also feature local artists, art vendors, food stalls, and a special kids’ zone.

The winner of the Battle of the Bands, sponsored by MSU’s Music Makers Productions, has been chosen to open for Ludacris. The competition will take place at 6 p.m. this Saturday in Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium.

About Ludacris

Rising to fame in the early 2000s, Ludacris has solidified his place in the global music scene with over 24 million albums sold, five No. 1 hits and 18 Billboard Top 10 songs. His chart-topping hits include “Get Back,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Number One Spot,” “Money Maker,” and “My Chick Bad.”

Having won three Grammy Awards out of his 20 nominations, Ludacris, who originated from Illinois and later moved to Atlanta, managed to reach peaks in his music career with albums such as “Back for the First Time,” Billboard’s No. 3 “Word of Mouf,” and Billboard’s No. 1 “Chicken-N-Beer.” His 2006 album, “Release Therapy,” also topped the charts and bagged a Grammy.

Ludacris: The Actor and Philanthropist

Beyond his lauded musical talents, Ludacris is known for his acting chops and philanthropy activities. He’s noted for playing the character Tej in the globally popular “Fast & Furious” series, and appearing in acclaimed movies like 2005’s “Hustle & Flow” and “Crash,” which won an Academy Award for Best Picture in 2006.

Inspired by his daughter, Ludacris launched the animated series “Karma’s World” in 2009. This children’s coming-of-age show narrates the journey of a young Black girl using her voice to effect positive change in the world.

Ludacris also initiated the Ludacris Foundation in 2001, dedicated to assisting Atlanta’s youth. His commitment to music, acting, and community service makes him a well-rounded artist and a role model for many.
