Ludacris Headlines Bulldog Bash in Starkville

The renowned hip-hop artist Ludacris will be hitting the stage in Starkville, Mississippi this October. Music enthusiasts can look forward to witnessing the Grammy Award-winning artist perform at Mississippi State University’s (MSU) annual Bulldog Bash. Scheduled to take place at the downtown Starkville intersection of Jackson and Main streets, fans can expect the highly anticipated performance to begin around 7 p.m., with Ludacris slated to perform around 9:15 p.m.

Opening Acts and Events

In addition to Ludacris, a talented and undiscovered act is also poised to share the stage, selected from the upcoming Battle of the Bands competition. This live music competition, sponsored by MSU’s Music Makers Productions, is planned for 6 p.m. Saturday at Lee Hall’s Bettersworth Auditorium. The triumphant band will have the privilege of opening for Ludacris at the Bulldog Bash.

The day-long event of Oct. 4 commences earlier in the afternoon with the Maroon Market. The Market opens at 3:30 p.m. providing an amalgam of engaging activities, including live performances by local artists, art exhibitions, food vendors, and a dedicated zone for kids. The MSU Student Association is generously sponsoring the entire event.

About the Artist

Ludacris, boasting a prolific career, has sold over 24 million albums and secured his position at the top of music charts worldwide. Originally from Illinois, he relocated to Atlanta during his teenage years where he honed his craft, subsequently producing five No.1 hits and 18 Billboard Top 10 songs.

Recognized with three Grammy Awards out of his 20 nominations, Ludacris has garnered immense popularity for hits such as “Stand Up,” “Get Back,” “Southern Hospitality,” “Number One Spot,” “Money Maker,” and “My Chick Bad.” His discography also includes notable albums from the early 2000s like “Back for the First Time,” Billboard’s No. 3 “Word of Mouf,” and Billboard’s No.1 “Chicken-N-Beer.” Ludacris’s 2006 album “Release Therapy”, also reached the number one spot, earning him a Grammy.

Besides his illustrious music career, he is also known for his acting prowess, having bagged roles in the “Fast & Furious” series and the Academy Award-winning “Crash.” Inspired by his daughter Karma, he even created the animated series “Karma’s World” in 2009.

Ludacris’s Foundation

Apart from his artistry and talent, Ludacris is also recognized for his philanthropic activities. In 2001, he established the Ludacris Foundation to assist the youth of Atlanta, ensuring they have access to opportunities for growth and development.
