Spooktacular Halloween Bash Scheduled at Starkville Public Library for October 25th!

Spooktacular Fun Awaits in Starkville!

As the leaves turn golden and the air gets a bit crisp, the excitement of Halloween begins to creep into Starkville. This year, the Starkville Public Library is ready to kick off the spooky season with its second annual Halloween Bash on October 25th from 4 to 6 p.m. Families from the area can look forward to an afternoon filled with fun, games, and plenty of treats. It’s the perfect way to celebrate Halloween without the typical tricks!

A Hit Returns!

Last year’s Halloween Bash was such a hit that the library decided to bring it back! The assistant children’s librarian and one of the event organizers shared enthusiasm about the upcoming festivities, expressing excitement about creating something fun for the kids.

And candy, there will be plenty! This year, the library is also introducing an exciting costume contest where both kids and adults can dress up and show off their creativity. Participants can compete for a variety of fantastic prizes, including colorful plastic trophies, candy, and other delightful surprises.

Costume Contest and Prizes

Costume judging will be lively, so it’s worth pulling out all the stops! The organizing team has worked hard to make this year’s event even better, and the costume contest is highly anticipated. Just imagine the laughter and happiness as families display their costumes, from traditional witches and goblins to the more unique creations that people come up with.

  • When: October 25, 4-6 p.m.
  • Where: Starkville Public Library
  • What: Games, treats, and a costume contest!

Spooky Activities Leading Up to the Bash

The fun doesn’t stop at the Halloween Bash! The library has planned a whole month of activities that cater to different age groups. For the tweens, a thrilling murder mystery game was recently hosted, where participants teamed up to crack a fictional crime. The atmosphere was buzzing as the young detectives went through case files and tried to piece together the clues.

Teens have also been swept up in the Halloween spirit, making their own spooky jewelry as part of the library’s craft offerings. The teenage volunteers have shown great dedication in helping to decorate and prepare, making it an event that truly brings the community together.

A Community Affair

This Halloween Bash is not just about costumes and candy; it’s about building connections within the community. Families can enjoy a safe and friendly environment, where they can spend quality time together while engaging in fun activities and perhaps meeting new friends along the way!

As this exciting time approaches, the Starkville Public Library team is all hands on deck, turning the venue into a spooky wonderland. Dust off those costumes and gather your friends and family for an afternoon of enchanting fun at the library!

The Halloween Bash promises to be a memorable day filled with laughter, creativity, and a sprinkle of magical Halloween spirit!
