Guadalajara Restaurant Closes Doors in Starkville

Starkville Community Loses a Staple

In a surprising development this month, one of Starkville’s beloved Mexican restaurants, Guadalajara Bar and Grill, has closed its doors permanently after struggling with employment issues. The restaurant, which was located at 211 Hwy. 12., opened just little over a year ago and quickly won a place in the hearts and stomachs of locals with its authentic Mexican fare.

Guadalajara Bar and Grill’s owner Juan Murillo confirmed the closure in a statement to the media, citing difficulty in “hiring good employees and keeping them” as one of the principal reasons for the shutdown. Known for its delectable ceviche and lively atmosphere, the restaurant was housed in a previously occupied Pizza Hut building, presenting a unique dining experience that delighted residents and visitors.

A New Opportunity for Local Business

Despite the loss of this popular establishment, the situation is not all grim – the restaurant’s closure opens up prime real estate in a recently renovated building, creating the potential for a new business to find a home in Starkville. With a prime location on Hwy. 12, prospective entrepreneurs will find a perfect spot to establish their businesses and contribute to the evolving landscape of the city.
