Starkville’s Mexican food lovers will be saddened to know that a favorite spot, the Guadalajara Bar and Grill, has announced its closure. The eateries’ owner mentioned that the restaurant would be closed permanently, attributing the decision to difficulties in “hiring good employees and keeping them.”
Located at 211 Hwy 12, the restaurant was known for its unique and delicious offerings, ceviche being one of the best. The establishment came into existence a little over a year ago when it replaced the former Pizza Hut. Although the closure does bring with it a sense of remorse, it also results in a prime spot becoming available for another entrepreneur to start a new venture in the recently refurbished location.
Observant locals and interested entrepreneurs should keep an eye out for this golden opportunity—the site of the former Guadalajara Bar and Grill now represents a favorable setting to start a new business. Given its prime location, it promises favorable foot-traffic and an ample potential customer base.
In brighter news, it’s been announced that the Plymouth Bluff Environmental Center will be celebrating its grand reopening. Plymouth Bluff is an iconic recreation and education site established in 1996, offering the community an impressive 190-acre space for both education and leisure, boasting free walking and running trails.
The grand reopening will see several attractions, including entertainment from the Columbus High School Indoor Percussion Group, a water safety program and STEM projects, Snowie Cool Treats, cupcakes and cookies. Over the last few months, the center has gone through extensive repair work, which has enhanced the site with refurbished cabins, trail maintenance, and new decking.
The Sonic drive-in, situated on Highway 45, is currently closed because it is undergoing plumbing repairs. Sonic’s public relations manager informed that the establishment could be expected to reopen before the end of the week.
Additionally, Belk is about to add more glamour to your shopping experience. The store has announced a ribbon-cutting and grand opening of a brand-new MAC makeup counter. The event beckons makeup lovers with gifts, deals from noon onwards, live tutorials, and even a chance to win $300 worth of MAC products.
Meanwhile, the owner of Yo’ Bar has announced the bar’s reopening after being closed for several months since December. Strikingly, this will be the third location for Yo’ Bar since its inception in 2018. According to the owner’s announcement on social media, the bar promises a new location, new menu, and a refreshed experience.
