Exciting Intersection Improvements Set to Transform Starkville Traffic Flow

Exciting Improvements Coming to Starkville!

Starkville, Mississippi, is buzzing with some exciting news! The city is all set to make significant improvements at the intersection of Montgomery Street and Lampkin Street. This is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to enhancing roadways and ensuring the safety and efficiency of traffic systems.

What’s Happening?

The project, officially named the MONTGOMERY ST & LAMPKIN ST INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT – PROJECT NO. 24017, is gearing up for construction. The city will be accepting sealed bids for this project, and there’s a deadline approaching!

How to Submit Your Bids

Bids are due at the Office of the City Clerk, located at City Hall (110 West Main Street, Starkville, Mississippi), by 2:00 P.M. local time. For those leaning towards technology, bids can also be submitted electronically through the city’s bidding website. Just be sure that your bid is properly sealed and marked with the project name!

Once the clock strikes 2:00 PM on the due date, all bids will be opened publicly, and the details will be taken under advisement until the next meeting of the Mayor and Board of Aldermen. These meetings happen twice a month, specifically on the first and third Tuesdays at 5:30 PM.

Need More Information?

Digital copies of the bid documents are available online at the city’s bidding site. If assistance is needed, Plan House Printing can be reached at 662-407-0193 or via email at tupelo@planhouseprinting.com.

Important Details

Contractors must include a certified check or a bid bond of 5% of the total bid amount with their submissions. This will serve as a guarantee for entering a contract if the bid is accepted. Contractors responding to this bid invitation must meet all the basic requirements outlined in Chapters 3 and 5 of Title 31 of the Mississippi Code of 1972.

It’s essential to ensure that the bid container is securely sealed and properly marked. Don’t forget to include a current Certificate of Responsibility number or a statement confirming that the bid amount does not exceed $50,000.

The Future of Starkville

Once the bids are in, the city reserves the right to reject any or all bids or accept the one that is deemed most favorable. This is all part of ensuring that Starkville gets the best possible outcome for this important project. This is an exciting time for the community!

In summary, mark your calendars for the bid submission deadline! This upcoming intersection improvement project is set to enhance traffic flow and safety in Starkville.
