Columbus Weather Update: Unseasonably Warm Today Followed by a Chilly Night

Columbus Weather Update: A Rollercoaster of Temperatures Ahead!

Hey there, Columbus! The forecast is taking us on quite a ride this week. With rain on the horizon and a sharp drop in temperatures, it’s time to get ready for some interesting shifts in our weather pattern!

What’s Happening on This Fine Tuesday?

Today is starting off with some unseasonably warm and humid air gracing our city. Expect scattered downpours as we move through the morning and into midday, so don’t forget your umbrella before you head out. Temperatures are hovering around a pleasant 70 degrees for many in Columbus!

But here’s where things get a little tricky. If you’re in areas northwest of the Natchez Trace, be prepared to see those temps start to drop after lunchtime. By the afternoon, the rain should start to shift southeast into Alabama, giving us a little breather.

Brace Yourself for a Chilly Night!

As evening approaches, we have a frontal passage that’s ready to make its move. This means you’ll feel those temperatures take a dive right into the 40s and eventually bottoming out in the 30s overnight. To add to the chill, expect northwest winds to kick up, gusting at around 20 to 25 mph. It’s going to be a crisp one out there!

Wednesday and Thursday: Cool and Clear Skies!

After a stormy Tuesday, we’ll be rewarded with a fresh start on Wednesday. The skies are set to clear out, leaving us with some lovely, seasonably cool weather with highs only reaching into the 50s. Keep those jackets handy because it’s going to be another chilly night with temperatures dropping into the 20s. Yes, you heard that right – time to pull out those cozy blankets!

Thursday is looking similar, with highs again in the 50s and plenty of sunshine to keep spirits high. It’s a great time to enjoy some outdoor activities, just make sure to bundle up a little!

Weekend Forecast: A Bit of Everything!

As we roll into Friday, watch for clouds to start building as we prepare for our next weather system moving in on Saturday. Though the weekend isn’t a washout, expect scattered rain on Saturday throughout the day. But Sunday is shaping up to be much nicer, looking dry with highs back in the comfortable 60s.

So, Columbus, get ready! From today’s warm temps and rain to the cozy coolness of mid-week, and then to a kinder weekend forecast, we’re certainly in for an eventful week ahead.
