Columbus is in for a week filled with ever-changing weather conditions. Wednesday’s forecast is shaping up to be noticeably milder than the chilly days of recent memory.
Wednesday kicks off on a relatively positive note compared to Tuesday! As the day progresses, expect the clouds to gradually thicken. Temperatures are expected to creep up into the 50s across the region.
As evening approaches, scattered showers will likely sweep in from the west and are expected to become more widespread. Rain amounts should average around one-half inch or less. Temperatures will remain in the 40s, so it’ll be a bit nippy, too.
On Thursday, lingering showers may persist in the southern counties early on, but a strong cold front will arrive to clear the moisture by midday. Expect temperatures to struggle to climb into the upper 40s, coupled with strong north winds that will serve as a reminder of winter.
Friday will start chilly with temperatures in the lower 20s. Thankfully, the weather will remain dry as a strong high-pressure system moves in from the north.
The weekend forecast looks mostly clear on Saturday, but as warmer air begins to drift back into the area on Sunday, rain chances will ramp up come Sunday evening, lasting into Monday.
With moisture building, there’s a chance of storms rolling through. The current outlook suggests that while a bit of a stormy scene may develop, the absence of surface instability indicates no severe weather is expected. It might get a little wild, but it doesn’t appear to be dangerous—just typical springtime showers!
It’s wise to watch the changing weather patterns. With everything from mild temps to chilly winds and potential rain, Columbus is in for quite an experience!
That’s all for now, Columbus! Enjoy the weather rollercoaster this week!
