Columbus – Local law enforcement officials report two arrests following gunfire near an apartment dwelling in the region of 24th Street North and Martin Luther King Jr. drive across 15th Avenue. The incident took place at approximately 7 p.m. Wednesday.
A local woman spoke to officers regarding the event, stating she was targeted with gunshots as she was entering her residence. The subsequent investigation led Columbus police along with the CPD SWAT team to a house which was reported by witnesses as the destination of an individual seen running after the gunfire. Six males were found inside the home and two, Martez Meeks and Enry Meadows, were arrested.
Martez Meeks faces dual charges of possession of stolen firearms, along with firearm possession while out on felony bond.
