Holiday Cheer Arrives in Starkville with Annual Christmas Open House

Starkville is getting into the holiday spirit as the vibrant Christmas Open House returns to town this Sunday. Kicking off at 11 a.m., this beloved event promises to be a fantastic way for the community to gather, celebrate, and shop local.

The Greater Starkville Development Partnership has organized this festive occasion, bringing together a total of 24 local businesses eager to share their holiday cheer with residents and visitors alike. The event is all about celebrating the local community and the unique offerings of its businesses.

Embrace the Community Spirit

“Christmas Open House is just a day where all of our businesses get to showcase all of their Christmas decorations and merchandise.” This event marks the official beginning of the shop local season, setting the tone for holiday shopping in Starkville. Most participating businesses will extend their hours, remaining open until 4 or 5 p.m., giving everyone plenty of time to browse and find the perfect gifts.

As if the festive atmosphere wasn’t enough to draw shoppers in, many local businesses will also be rolling out special sales for the day. Some shops will offer deals like “buy an ornament, get one free,” making it an even more appealing opportunity to tick off items from your Christmas shopping list.

Exciting Promotions Await

This year, The Partnership has an exciting promotional twist for shoppers. They will provide “I Shop Local” totes to all retailers, and shoppers who spend $100 or more will receive a free tote bag. With 1,000 totes distributed to retailers, there’s hope that community members will band together to contribute to a target of spending $100,000 at local businesses on Sunday.

“We are super excited, and we just ask that the community get out and support our local retailers and get festive for the holiday season.” There’s nothing quite like the camaraderie of shopping with friends and neighbors while supporting the local economy.

Get Ready for a Festive Weekend

As Starkville gears up for the Christmas Open House, it’s the perfect opportunity to enjoy the sights and sounds of the season. With beautifully decorated storefronts and the joyful hustle and bustle of fellow shoppers, this event is sure to create lasting memories for everyone involved.

So, grab your friends, family, or even that neighbor you’ve been wanting to get to know better, and head out for a day filled with local charm, great deals, and community spirit. There’s plenty to enjoy, including shared laughs and maybe even some holiday treats!

Here’s to a delightful Christmas Open House in Starkville! Happy shopping and merry celebrations to all!
