International Paper Donates $57,000 to Empower Local Non-Profits in Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. – A Heartfelt Boost for Local Causes!

There’s a wonderful spirit of giving blooming in Columbus, and it’s all thanks to the generous folks over at International Paper! This year, the Columbus Mill and modified fiber facilities rolled out the red carpet for their annual Grant Presentation and Luncheon, where they showered a total of $57,000 on local non-profits and educational groups.

Supporting the Community

What’s truly amazing is that this isn’t just a one-time act of kindness. Since 2017, the Columbus mill has been on a roll, dishing out an impressive $550,000 in grant funding to help local organizations thrive. It’s a testament to their commitment to tackling community challenges and lifting up local leadership.

At the luncheon, families, friends, and community leaders gathered to celebrate the impactful work being done in Columbus. “A lot of the work that they do goes on behind-the-scenes,” emphasized the tireless efforts of these organizations. “It’s great to bring everyone together to share their successes and talk about ongoing programs and outreach!”

Highlighting Local Heroes

During the event, 18 non-profits and educational groups were honored for their contributions to the community. Each organization was recognized for its unique efforts to make Columbus a stronger, more resilient place to live. It’s not just about handing over a check; it’s about fostering relationships and celebrating the dedication of those who spend countless hours working for the common good.

International Paper, known not only for their products but also for their deep-rooted commitment to local community initiatives, has launched various campaigns that include both volunteerism and product donations. By encouraging their employees to get involved, they are sparking a wave of positivity that resonates throughout the region.

Why This Matters

This act of giving creates a ripple effect, touching lives and empowering organizations to address pressing needs within the community. Whether it’s supporting educational programs, providing food for the hungry, or ensuring that vulnerable populations get the assistance they need, these funds are vital. And let’s face it, every bit counts!

The sense of community was palpable at the luncheon, with smiles all around as individuals from various organizations shared their stories and experiences. This gathering not only highlights the fantastic work being done but also promotes a spirit of collaboration and support among the diverse groups present.

Hats off to International Paper for their incredible support and to all the local organizations making a real difference in lives across Columbus! It’s heartening to see such strong partnerships that bring change and provide hope!

Have a fantastic day, Columbus! Keep up the great work!
