Columbus, Mississippi – More than 20,000 Mississippians have submitted their absentee ballots. The state has received just over 23,000 absentee ballots so far. Additionally, nearly 39,000 absentee ballots have been requested, indicating a significant interest among residents to make their voices heard.
This uptick in absentee voting reflects a growing trend among local voters opting for mail-in or in-person early voting options.
Voters who have requested or submitted an absentee ballot can track its status through the My Election Day ballot tracker available on the Secretary of State’s website. This tool provides real-time updates about the ballot’s journey from the mailbox to the counting precinct.
The last day to participate in in-person absentee voting is November 2. Ballots mailed in should be postmarked by Election Day to ensure they count.
The effort to submit absentee ballots and participate in voting showcases how much Mississippi residents care about their future. It’s about coming together to support the candidates and issues that align with shared values and vision for a better tomorrow.
