Starkville Set for Exciting Public Hearings on Accessory Structure Request!
The City of Starkville is gearing up for important discussions concerning a request from local resident Norma Hendrix. She’s seeking a special exception to allow for the placement of an accessory structure in the front yard of her property located at 122 Frontier Drive.
What’s the Buzz?
The property is situated in a zoning district known as TN-E. The city’s Planning and Zoning Commission will kick off the first of these public hearings at 5:30 P.M., held in the Courtroom of City Hall.
Details About the Property
Hendrix’s property measures nicely with its well-defined boundaries. The property is essentially a rectangle starting with the intersection of the north side of Westside Drive and the west side of Frontier Street. It runs 75 feet north to the southeast corner of Lot 34. From there, it stretches 150 feet west along the south side of Lot 34, then goes 75 feet south to reach the north side of Westside Drive, and finally heads 150 feet east back to its starting point.
Open for Public Inspection!
Copies of the request are available at the Community Development Department at City Hall, where they can be inspected during normal business hours.
Meet the Planning Team!
The dynamic duo overseeing this request includes the City Planner and the Assistant City Planner. They’re working hard to ensure everything is by the book and that the voices of Starkville residents are heard.
Final Thoughts
These upcoming public hearings promise to be an engaging affair where community voices will be heard. Whether you’re a neighbor of Norma Hendrix or just a curious Starkville resident, these hearings are an opportunity to shape the future of the town.
